Since the academic year 2011-2012 ‘IES Valle del Jerte’ has the Extended Erasmus Charter, whereby students of Higher Level Training Cycles have the possibility to do the traineeships at EU companies.
This project involves the completion of 400 hours of unpaid internships in foreign companies related to their studies, and aims to provide beneficiaries the opportunity to have a work experience abroad, improve language skills and learn about other cultures and lifestyles.
The companies belong to any of the 27 member states of the European Union (except Spain), of the three countries of the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and Turkey. Switzerland is not a country eligible for the Erasmus program.
The companies can be any type of organization, public or private: commercial or service companies, health centers, museums, NGOs, educational or research institutions, etc.. Only the European Union institutions are excluded as well as embassies and consulates of member countries.
Traineeships are counted as the hours of the module ‘On the job training’ and are developed in two periods:
